Terror Pigeon’s Sleepover Concert Will Make You Rethink the Live Music Experience (Phoenix New Times)

I recently got a chance to talk to Neil Fridd, aka Terror Pigeon himself, about the band’s Surround Sound Lay Down performances (where they play for an audience that’s lying down on the ground). They’ll be doing their thing at the Trunk Space tonight, so if you’re in town you should really check it out. I know I’ll be. 🙂

Here’s What Happened When Viva PHX Took Over Downtown Saturday Night

I attended Viva PHX last Saturday, as part of a roving team of New Times reporters. It was a music festival that encompassed over a dozen different venues and featured a ton of fantastic bands (so many excellent ones that it was impossible to see them- still kicking myself for missing Fucked Up and YACHT). Here’s our group write-up on the event.

The Best and Worst Things We Saw At McDowell Mountain Music Festival

I went to the McDowell Mountain Music Festival at Hance Park in downtown Phoenix over the weekend to help cover the event for Phoenix New Times. Here are some of my impressions on the Saturday show (which included acts like Flume, Chromeo, and DJ Mustard).
