Local band No Volcano recently released their latest music video. “Take My Chances” was shot by Troy Farah back in October at Space 55. The video features yours truly as a very sick dude, with slam poet supreme The Klute and noise maestro Scott Mitting as my doctors. Mene Tekel did the animation.

I got to be part of a group art show at The Hive over the last month. The show was curated by Amy Young, and it was called “You Have the Magic: Weird, Wild, and Wondrous works of art!”. Here’s “Egregorgeous”, my piece that hung in the show.
I did a feature on local hip-hop band The Stakes for Phoenix New Times. I interviewed them a few weeks ago at Copper Blues, and they had some great stories to tell.

Here’s my latest piece for the Phoenix New Times- a profile piece on the insanely prolific Japanese psych-rockers Acid Mothers Temple.

Last month I got to be a guest on Phoenix Tonight (Phoenix’s only late night talk show) for their special “bonus” episode. Normally, Phoenix Tonight happens once a month, every second Saturday at Space 55. For March they did an extra episode inside the Drawn to Comics shop in Glendale (which, if you’re a comics nerd and live in the AZ, you should check out- the place is huuuge). Here’s the video of the clip (shot by Glen AZ), featuring a cameo by special guest star My Goofy-Ass Hair.
Tomorrow night NPR’s “Ask Me Another” swings by The Orpheum in downtown for a live show. Singer-songwriter & “Ask Me Another” one-man-house-band Jonathan Coulton will be there. I got a chance to interview him last week; here’s our convo, for Phoenix New Times.
